Decision ’08 2.0 Unveiled

Well, here it is. I hope you like it. I was shooting for a clean and elegant design, uncluttered, and professional, with easy navigation. Did I succeed? I’m really interested in your comments (truly – nothing is set in stone).

I spent a lot of time trying to get the Cascading Style Sheet modified to look decent in both Firefox and IE. Links are blue, until you read them, then they turn bold. You can register as a user, if you like, but for now, registration is not required to comment.

There are several items still to take care of, but I thought things were far enough along to make the switch. I’m still working on the categories and links (if you’re not on the links page yet, don’t be offended; I’m still adding sites), and the vast majority of the posts are uncategorized (I have to go in and switch them one by one, and there are roughly 1600, so that will be a work in progress for several weeks, probably). I imported comments on Tuesday, so all your comments since then are not here (though I plan to recreate them, if it’s not too difficult – don’t worry, I won’t change your words). And of course, there may be other revisions to come.

Please let me know how the commenting works, try to send a trackback if you have a blog, put the thing through its paces. This site is for me, but it’s for you, too, and I appreciate your support. I sincerely hope this redesign makes for a more rewarding experience.

Update 08/13/03 9:18 a.m. central: I sent out some blegs for help publicizing this, and many of you have responded already, including PoliPundit, AJStrata, Jeff at Protein Wisdom, La Shawn Barber, the good Dr. Shackleford, our good friend Nettie, Beth at My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, Jon Henke, John Hawkins at Right Wing News, the great Tom Maguire, Betsy Newmark, Commonwealth Conservative, Leon H at Red State, Eric at Viking Pundit, the great and soon-to-be-sorely-missed Arthrur Chrenkoff, The Political Teen, and the Anchoress. Thanks to all of you and anyone else I may have missed or failed to mention.
