Rall is the lowest of the low. After his hideous statement about Pat Tillman I became acquainted with this Rall-scum. Southerners have a term for what should happen to Rall, but I’ll let you guess which one it is since it is Sunday and I am really trying to live a Christian life! Obviously, in regard to Rall, I have failed!

Mark, I honestly thought that the only reason you hadn’t named Ted Rall as a Jackass of the Week before now was because you thought it would be an insult to the other winners. I mean, the week Pat Tillman died in Iraq, this guy used his vitriolic strip to call Tillman “Patsy” for supporting the war. (He also called him a jerk and an idiot, just in case “patsy” was too subtle.) I could list other, equally vile comments he’s made.

Rall is a perfect example of how the left shoots itself in the foot by refusing to criticize its own. Conservatives don’t reflexively support conservatives; Ann Coulter is widely unpopular, and even a popular commentator like Rush Limbaugh has his share of non-fans (me, for instance). But as long as he endorses the major left talking points, Rall can get away with anything. His style is so repellent, though, that I would suspect Karl Rove of paying his salary. That is, if I thought Rove was as demonically clever as Rall probably thinks he is.

The only time I’ve actually seen this bloviator’s “column” or “cartoons,” is when I read the local version of the Village Voice here in Chicago. It’s a free weekly, of course – so draw your own conclusions (sorry, couldn’t resist).

Dennis, certainly this President has shown no desire whatsoever to cut spending in any appreciable way…fatman, remember, Rall is the same guy we recently spotlighted for his rant against ‘those ridiculous yellow ribbons’ that people use to indicate support for the troops…

Mark, I think you’ve done Ted Rall a grave injustice here. After reading the whole thing (I’m beginning to wonder if washing out my Browser with Pine-Sol might be causing the problems I’m having), I’m convinced that the whole column is a parody piece. I know I had several attacks of the giggles while reading it. I mean, he just can’t be serious. Can he???
