Inside the Bubble? Save Your Time and Stay Outside

That seems to be the early consensus on Inside the Bubble, a new film that purports to go inside the Kerry campaign to deconstruct what went wrong. Of course, any film like this must inevitably be compared with The War Room, the quite excellent documentary that went inside the 1992 Clinton campaign, and it seems Inside the Bubble suffers heavily from the comparison.

The War Room didn’t offer much face time with Slick Willie himself, but it did focus heavily on James Carville and George Stephanopoulos, which is the next best thing. The main problem with Inside the Bubble seems to be the lack of cooperation of the top hired guns, and a corresponding reliance on sources way down the totem pole. Myself – I’ll probably watch it…on cable, a long time from now…if there’s nothing else going on…just to savor the shots of the Kerry team gloating on Election Day…

why does the dem. party only use the word “war” in a title of a successful political campaign?
who are they at “war” with?
    the questions are rhetorical.
