Another Month, Another Ruffini Poll Gone By

Patrick the Great (Ruffini on Miers: “Harry Reid has just been hosed – and he doesn’t even know it”) has posted the results of his September Poll, and the overall results have Rudy G. at 33%, followed by Allen and Romney.

For the D’08ers, we had Rudy G. at 55%, followed by McCain and Huckabee.

Speaking of Huckabee, Blue State Republican has an analysis of the poll here.

On a personal note, I passed a milestone today, thanks to a big boost from some heavyweights who linked to my latest Krugman post. 250,000 visitors since late November – not bad, considering I haven’t hit my one-year blogiversary yet. Thank you, thank you, one and all – your readership is valued more than you know…on to a half million!…

    Mark,
Thanks for the link and CONGRATS on the milestone! We plan to catch up to you one day, but you’re making that hill increasingly difficult to climb!

    Cheers,

    BSR

  • Thanks (you already surpassed me on one milestone – you referred 54 to Ruffini, I referred 40 and dropped out of the top 20 referrers…ah, well, there’s always another poll!)…

  • Congratulations, Mark. You deserve it.

  • Ah, that’s nice of you to say…but to quote Clint Eastwood in Unforgiven, “Deserve’s got nothin’ to do with it”…I owe it all to a great bunch of regulars. Someday, we’ll all RULE THE WORLD – bwaaaahaaaahaaaa – oh wait, did I say that out loud?….

  • Don’t worry, we already rule the world. No need to scream.

No, really, congrats on the milestone–it’s so well deserved and not because of an individual link but because of day-in-day-out excellence.

Thanks for reminding me to visit Ruffini–what a great post.

Will the ones whining and puking today over the Supreme Court revolt/stay home/splinter off in the face of a nominated Giuliani or McCain?

Now we know how Lieberman feels …

Congratulations Mark on your excellent blog.

As for the nomination of Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court, President Bush seems to be following the old baseball adage, “keep throwing it till they hit it.” The Roberts nomination worked out so well because Democrats needed weeks to decide why they thought he was obviously wrong for the job. So why not try the same strategy again? If those voting against Harriet Miers can’t articulate soon a convincing reason why she shouldn’t be on the Supreme Court they’ve lost the battle again.

  • Thanks for the kind words, Fred…

  • Love the baseball adage, Fred. Reminds me of how Warren Buffet describes investing–and he hasn’t sone such a bad job at that (for a Democrat).

Mark, belated congrats on hitting the 250K milestone. I know that I appreciate a well-run, informative blog where I can spout my half-baked opinions without getting mercilessly flamed, and I’m sure your other readers feel the same.

Pity we don’t actually rule the world. If we did, it would probably be a much more civil and better behaved place…

  • Many thanks, utron…but I’ve always found your opinions to be fully baked!…Just kidding…glad to have you as a regular…
