Say Hello to Madam President – er, Chancellor
Germany broke its post-election stalemate with a power-sharing agreement that has elevated Angela Merkel to the Chancellorship, the first female to to hold that position. This, combined with the sheer rhetorical brilliance of the new Geena Davis TV series, has made it all the more likely that we will see a female President in our own future.
I’m talking, of course, of Condi Rice…who on earth did you think I was referring to?…

Remember that in my fantasy world she has to be VP before she’s P.
Off topic: The New York Times has had to resort to getting Kitty Kelley in to complete their trifeca of Bush Bashing. I guesss Herbert (Bush supports torture) and Krugman (Bush doesn’t care about Katrina victims) weren’t enough, or maybe it’s because she’s an invited op-ed and so isn’t protected by Times Select so more people can actually read the bashing. But Kitty Kelley? How low can they go?
