A Little PlameGate Tidbit From Time
Time Magazine reports that both Karl Rove and Lewis Libby will either resign or go on unpaid leave if indicted in the PlameGate Investigation. In the course of the article, they drop the further little tantilizing hint:
Another character in the drama remains unnamed: the original source for columnist Robert Novak, who wrote the first piece naming Plame. Fitzgerald, says a lawyer who’s involved in the case, “knows who it is—and it’s not someone at the White House.”
We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it, but here’s a thought for Bush: you’ve got three years left. It’s time for new blood; indictments or not, how about some big personnel changes? This current batch of employees has been doing you few favors (I mean new White House staff, not Cabinet Secretaries)…

Mark, I agree. Bush doesn’t need to keep going downhill (with the help of his staff). It’s time to make the last three years the best.
hey Mark,
After all this time and punishment, Bush might as well ride it to the end. And if vindicated, he would become the teflon President. So much to gain by staying pat, nothing to gain by folding now.
