PlameMania! Catch the Fever…
As speculation continues to run rampant over the PlameGate affair, President Bush refused an invitation to bash Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald:
After a Cabinet meeting, Bush was asked whether he agreed with Republican suggestions that Fitzgerald may be overzealous and that possible perjury charges would be little more than legal technicalities.
“This is a very serious investigation,” Bush said. Rove sat behind the president in the Cabinet room; across the room sat Libby.
Our good friend AJStrata sees hope in this article:
UPI is reporting Fitzgerald is investigating the Niger Forgeries, per NATO sources…The fact Fitzgerald is looking into the forgeries means he is not satisfied with at least one person’s statements – Wilson.
Perhaps a bit ticked off at all the attention being paid to Valarie Plame-Wilson, Cindy Sheehan plans to strike back with a publicity gimmick to coincide with the 2,000th fatality among Americans serving in Iraq…how tasteful.

after reading the letter/correspondence from acting A/G comey, provided by mark’s link, one thing stands out to me.
ever since this started everyone has been making a big deal out of plame was not a covert agent.
the correspondence that i read does not state “covert”. it simply states,:
“investigation into the alleged unauthorized disclosure of a CIA employee’s identity”.
this may be legalese for “covert”, but as i read it, it sounds like you can’t even “out” the janitor.
that’s my take.
i don’t know if this is the reason for establishing the website or not, or what effect this will have on indictments.
