What’s A Modern Girl To Do? Asks Modo

Answer: apparently write a long-winded diatribe about how the world wasn’t quite the way she wanted it to be. I tried to get through this excerpt from MoDo’s latest book, I really did; I had high hopes, since it wasn’t a political hit piece. Sadly, those hopes were dashed on the rocks of sheer boredom. See if you have more luck than I do…it’s a Halloween dare (why, just looking at MoDo’s outfit will scare you silly!)…

  • Note to MoDo: your inability to maintain a successful relationship is not the fault of the opposite gender. After 50 odd years of failure it’s time to look in the mirror for the source of the problem. And while you’re gazing at yourself, I think you should have taken that advice about toning down the make up and the high heels. There’s sexy and then there’s just plain skanky.

The funniest thing about her is that her fame was established by her covering of the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal. A pulitzer? Given her choices of living of the most embarrassing moment in Clinton’s history, or recycling Star Wars to make points about Bush/Cheney…sorry maureen, you have set the feminist movement back-by accepting elevation to the editorial pages of the former ‘paper of record’ based on a scant resume-seems strikingly similar to the Meirs nomination. I heard charges of cronyism in the case of Meirs…

She couldn’t carry Claudia Rossett’s jock.

Just more of the usual navel – gazing, narcissism and self – absorption we all know and love. Not once does she ever look at her own possible faults – no, because she’s intelligent (?) and has a career, men are afraid of her. How simplistic, how convenient. What a piece of work.
