i’m surprised no one has brought up the rush limb example from his comments on espn(?), was it.
he reported the obvious.

Prepare yourself for the onslaught of “Republicans do it too!”. The difference is, and I’m open to correction on this, that when Republicans make outrageous claims such as these they are repudiated and punished (see Trent Lott and Ann Coulter). I can think of no such example for the Democrats.

Gillard, et al, make a very simple argument that is this: the end justifies the means.

Certainly the vast, vast majority of Democrats, white and black, see these statements for the outrages they are and don’t share those sentiments

I wonder if this is actually true. I saw that blog posting the article refers to (from Steve Gillard, formerly of DailyKos fame), and it was shocking how he justified his action; basically, in his mind, if you are black and conservative, you are a traitor to your race. I think a lot of hard Democrats fervently believe this.

(Of course, Gillard later replaced the picture with another one, and didn’t make not of it in the post, so that future visitors would come and think there was never any offensive picture at all)
