Valour-IT: Your Help Is Still Needed
Imagine you had served your country bravely in Iraq or Afghanistan, but had tragically lost the use of your upper extremities. If you’re a visitor to this website, you probably don’t face this challenge, but how hard would it be to even use the Internet without the use of your hands? Of course, it could be a lot easier if your computer had voice-recognition software, and that’s the premise behind the Project Valour-IT Fundraising Challenge. With just two days until Veteran’s Day, we on the Air Force team still have a considerable gap between the $5,770 we have raised, and the $21,000 (enough for 30 systems) we would like to.
So forgive me, please, for interrupting with another appeal, but I really do think this is a wonderful idea, and I would be much obliged (but more importantly, so would some serviceman or women) if you’re willing and able to pitch in…thanks for your time and support, and you can read all about it here…
