The Long Wait Continues
So, do you remember during the 2004 election when we were assured that the draft was just around the corner? John Hawkins does…as do I. I also remember that the only serious(?) proposal to reinstitute the draft came from Democrat Charlie Rangel, who offered this stirring bit of oratory: “For those who say the poor fight better, I say give the rich a chance”…ahem…has anyone, anywhere, said the poor fight better? Just asking…
i always thought this guy was a kook.
then i saw/read about c. rangel’s service to this country and what he went through in korea. i said then i need to listen to this guy. he did his service and i need to listen to what he says. if for no other reason, out of respect for his service to this country.
everytime he opens his mouth all it does is reinforce my perception that we are all different.
some are a little more different.
now i just think he is a kook.
You know, I really do respect his service to the country, and I’ve even seen him talk sense before…too bad he’s so inconsistent…
