Joe Biden Announces Support For Bush’s Iraq Policy
Okay, he’d never put it that way. This installment in the excellent White House series ‘Setting the Record Straight’ shows, however, how Biden and most other Democrats are perfectly happy to castigate the President for failure, on the one hand, and adopt his proposals, on the other. In another era, with less access to information and fewer watchdogs, such tactics might have worked. As it is, it’s just another sad example of how winning the war on the ground has taken a back seat to winning the political high ground.
Incidentally, I saw Biden on Meet the Press (imagine that!) this weekend; let there be no doubt who Dick Cheney was referring to when he spoke of revisionists who are quite enamored of their own analytical ability…and yes, Biden says he’s running, in so many words. There are few sure things in politics, but here’s one: Joe Biden has no chance – zero, nada, zilch, squat…bet the house, the farm, the car, and throw in the kids, too…it’s a lock.

Never say never. Nixon in 65 seemed at least as unlikely as Biden today.
… Ahhh, who am I kidding? You’re right – bet the farm.
A wise reconsideration…
