It’s the Final Countdown…
…to the end of the 2005 Weblog Awards (what, did you think I was talking about the Iraqi elections? We’ve got our priorities around here). Just one more day of keeping these posts up top begging for your vote – unless I pull the biggest comeback since Truman beat Dewey, I’m toast, but, as the losers always say, it was an honor being nominated.

My next-to-last 2005 Weblog Awards Spotlight is on the Best Group Blog. Without further ado, the nominees are:
Blogcritics
Brothers Judd
MyDD
Redstate
TPMCafe
Winds of Change
Think Progress
Publis Pundit
The Cotillion
Moderate Voice
Pandagon
MensNewsDaily
SoundPolitics
Hit and Run
PostSecret
As usual, there are at least a half-dozen deserving blogs, but for me, this one is a toss-up between the lovely ladies of the Cotillion and the rowdy crew at Red State. Don’t forget to vote for all the categories, as polling closes tomorrow…

I like PostSecret because it’s simple and yet compelling. Political blogs get tiring after a while.
I look forward to 2009 when you will easily win for “Best Blog Whose Name Is Now Useless”.
Hey, that’s not very nice…however, I am well aware of the time limitations on my blog name and have given it considerable thought…I have a top-secret plan already in motion…
It is kinda funny.
You are one of the few blogs with a built in expiration date.
but the contest to rename your blog will be blast.
