New Spam Filter
An unfortunate aspect of blogging is that spammers have figured out ways to leave obscene amounts of comment spam. I have been protected for quite some time by a plugin called Bad Behavior, but in the last couple of days, it has been locking me out of my own blog. Too bad, because it seemed to work really well. In any event, I have switched to two new spam blocking plugins. I have already received an email from one reader saying he was blocked as a spammer, so I adjusted the settings down a little weaker (there are parameters I can tweak). Please let me know if you have any problems yourself – I don’t intend to shut out regular readers, but even though you probably don’t see it, because of the filters, I do get hit almost daily with dozens of spam comments.

I was shut out this morning a few times, but looks like it was a blip.
Yeah, I saw one of your comments in the awaiting moderation stack, and I approved it, so hopefully you won’t get blocked again…
