My Boys Scored Big
Five Grammys last night for the now official greatest rock-and-roll band in the world (sorry, Mick and Keith – you’ve started gathering moss at last). Congrats to Bono and his mates, and let me just say, if you boys ever need a drinking companion or a tour guide when you’re down Austin way…well, you know my number…

Mark, I was wondering if you’ve got the “B” sides compilation that was released awhile ago – some great tracks like “Spanish Eyes” and the crowd favorite “Party Girl” are on it. Another mini – CD came out back in the day that had “Lady with the Spinning Head” and their version of “Satellite of Love.”
Was playing those tracks yesterday – quite a prolific output for the boys, taken in its entirety.
The second, I don’t have (though I love the Satellite of Love from the Zoo-TV concert release…but I do have the first…excellent stuff…
I usually think the Grammys are sort of irrelevant. In this instance, I’ll make an exception.
Let’s hope they have the good sense to quit before their time has passed – which hasn’t yet arrived.
I once believed that the almighty was an unseen force that stayed somewhere above the earth’s atmoshere, but I was wrong; he is an Irishman with sweet shades and a not so sweet cowboy hat.
Conan O’Brien wears a cowboy hat? Oh, you meant Bono…
