Thanks for the diversion. I am curious to know how Mark Halpern would incorporate Ray Kurwiel’s ideas into the question of AI. The beauty of the article is that it suggests (again, if we use the ideas in “The Singularity is Near” as a guide to a possible future) that we will be eventually able to answer the question of whether or not there is something about human intelligence that is not ultimately computable (is there a soul, in other words.) Good stuff.
