Some of their actions over the past year remind one of Don Quixote's quest to defeat the windmill - they keep tilting at it, but don't seem to realize their pointless opposition.

Thats why they call him Brainster. But the Democratic Party and the moonbat fringe that is currently running it always picks loosing battles. They don't loose because they are not getting enough recognition. They are loosing because their candidates are moonbats and the majority of Americans disagree with their positions.

Glenn Greenwald's continued beating of the dead NSA program horse is a perfect example. Most americans think its a good idea, even many Democratic Senator's and Congressmen (particularly the ones who want to get re-elected) are saying even if the program is illegal (It is legal btw) they think it should continue and be made legal.

Yet Glenn keeps on keeping on. Although the latest news does seem to have taken the wind out of some of his friends sails. The only thing funnier than an enraged howling moonbat is a depressed howling moonbat.

It does indicate that the netroots don't understand winning elections. Winning elections is all about allocating scant resources and dollars to races where you have a chance of winning. The solons at MyDD and Daily Kos don't seem to understand that; they'd rather fund guys who are doomed. It doesn't matter yesterday, when there's only one race, but it will matter a great deal in November, when there are 469 +/- races around the country.

No, I don't think so. For it to be real impotence, I think, the "netroots" would have to be a much more widespread, widely known thing. We out here on the interweb tend to forget that there's a huge segment of the population that still doesn't inhabit our world, and makes its decisions irrespective of what's bubbling in the blogosphere.

Fargus, the netroots have yet to deliver a single victory...as Leon H put it at RedState, they're now 0 for 19 - that's not impotence?...

Is it that surprising? The stand was one of principle. There were hopes of winning, but it was an uphill battle all the way. I don't think this is illustrative of the impotence of the netroots at large, as you seem to imply.
