It’s no contest…hands down, it’s Duncan ‘Atrios’ Black. Never mind that he’s a paid shill for a George Soros-funded ‘watchdog’ group. Forget about his incredibly childish mindset and complete lack of analysis. Put aside his astonishingly lame site design, and the fact that with his hit count he’s still on Blogger(!!!).
The bottom line is, the guy doesn’t even blog. He’s a disgrace to the whole concept. How lazy is Duncan? He doesn’t even bother to vary the wording on his endless “Open Thread” posts. I mean, for cryin’ out loud! Don’t put any effort into it, Duncan – don’t want to get your heart rate up!
And what are the losers who make his site a regular stop thinking? “Ooooohhhh, maybe Duncan will put up another ‘Open Thread’ post – and maybe he’ll use the same wording he did on the last 12…come on, page, load, dammit, load…wait..could it be… YESSSS!!!!! Open Thread!!!!!”

Given that if you want that kind of hard-leftist, bitter attitude, the Internet offers many possibilities from places where you can get lots of sharp commentary from talented polemicists, it really is astounding how Duncan continues to bring people in. I guess it shows the power of being one of the first to hit upon anything; it buys you loyalty long after it’s become clear you don’t give a rat’s tush about your customers.

Atrios’ website is all about the commenters (which is an even worse condemnation than if it were all about his thoughts). But yes, if you’re looking for who’s the laziest big-name blogger, it’s Black.
