Scratching That History Itch

The great Victor Davis Hanson presents the five greatest books on battles of the twentieth century – The Price of Glory and The Face of Battle I’ve read, and they’re every bit as good as Hanson says…the other three I have not – but I’ll correct that soon enough…

    As usual, Hanson is too modest in not including one of his own works, Carnage and Culture. An excellent and provocative read, whether you agree with his premise or not.
