You’ve Got To Be Kidding Me!
The greatest single NCAA moment of all time was Duke’s Christian Laettner hitting the the turnaround to beat Michigan, but this tournament has been, overall, if not the best ever, pretty damn close. LSU and Texas are headed to overtime, after two overtimes yesterday, and the level of competition has been just outstanding throughout the entire tournament. The only team that has been coasting so far is the Memphis Tigers – will they continue their winning ways in today’s Game 2?
We shall see…
UPDATE 5:55 p.m.: There’s still a little time as I type this, but clearly it’s over; congrats to the LSU Tigers, on the way to the Final Four, and congrats to the Longhorns as a fine season ends…no hard feelings, LSU earned it…

To beat Michigan? Surely you mean Kentucky.
But this has been a wild tournament all right.
It was Kentucky, wasn’t it? They beat Michigan in the Finals that year, maybe? Jeez, the mind plays tricks on you when you get old…
