With the economy roaring along and no new terror attacks since 9/11 (just to mention a couple of broad positives) the results of these polls tell me that people's opinions are fickle and superficial. Sure, gas prices are high, mortgage rates are climbing but I just don't get the pessimism. Perhaps for our politicians and office holders this is a rebuke of their now long commitment to highly partisan carping and squabbling? Dunno. Don't worry, be happy. I guess this is more entertaining than fretting over how long the brave <a href="http://www.mediainfo.com/eandp/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1002501667" rel="nofollow">29%</a> will hold out.
