President Bush will address the nation Monday night on the immigration issue, as related legislation has been given new life by a Senate compromise. There’s a good discussion of the political give and take here; for the record, I don’t mind putting the existing illegal aliens on the path to citizenship, and I’m not convinced we need drastic new legislation.
