I just wish the Ethanol debate would be more honest – by using our own corn supplies, we use almost 3/4 of a tank of fuel in order to produce one gallon of Ethanol. Terrible trade – off here. Meanwhile, sugar – produced foreign supplies of ethanol are almost 30 – 40% cheaper, but our protectionist trade subsidies prevent us from effectively using them.
Who’s really benefitting here? The farmer’s lobby really knows how to gild the lilly, so to speak.
