Funny that the Guardian deems taking someone to the UN Security Council is an actual type of sabre rattling. Ooh, watch out, Iran – the big, bad UN is going to shake it’s finger at you and threaten to impose sanctions that won’t work and say mean things about your sister if you don’t promise to stop doing those awful things with your nukes.
Good Lord, do these people really think that the world functions under the Marquise du Queensbury rules? Quick, name one major conflict that was successfully ended by troops under UN auspices – without the massive presence and leadership of the US military.
