Best Wishes To Michael Kinsley
I’ve always enjoyed his work, though I often disagree with him; he writes with no small degree of wit, and that’s enough to paper over most political differences. In any event, as the man faces brain surgery this week in an attempt to improve his Parkinson’s Disease, I hope you’ll join me in sending best wishes for a speedy recovery and a successful operation…
UPDATE 8:29 p.m.: Ah, I missed the editor’s note the first time around – his surgery was the 12th, and appears to have gone well:
Editor’s note: Kinsley’s surgery took place on July 12 and went fine. His first words were, “Well, of course, when you cut taxes, government revenues go up. Why couldn’t I see that before?”
Well, good to see he retains his sense of humor. The best wishes for a speedy recovery still hold true, of course…

Kinsley v. buchanan on crossfire was the most astute politcal show running.
Both were lively but spent more time with substantive argument than ever coming near dismissal. I would talk to my grandfather after a really good show to see if he agreed with me who won. He always pulled for pat.
Worth noting Kinsley was dismisive of the entirew Plame suit. (of course pat was also against invading Iraq…)
Wish Kinsley the best, he almost made liberal ideology sound…reasoned.
Raging RINOs, long may they range!
After more than three years of blogging, I’m finally hosting a carnival — a new first for me. And I don’t get new firsts that often, so this ought to be considered cause for celebration. Over the years, I’ve written…
Kinsley has always been an “honest liberal.” Like Tip O’Neill and Patrick Moynihan, he never went into the ditch in his politics, and you always know where he’s coming from.
