Kos: Planning ‘Progressive’ Answer To Megachurches My New Project

Oh, happy day that Markos started his blog! Without the ensuing hilarity, life might be too bleak to face.  Kos, who is certain that there’s nothing worth talking about in the current Israeli crisis (just a couple of foolish nations set on destroying one another – nothing to see here, folks, just move along), lets loose his future plans:

Megachurches are the GOP’s new and growing base. Next year, I will be working offline to start building the progressive alternative to the megachurches. It may be a decades-long project, but it has to start sometime.

Bwaahaaaahaaaaa!  Ooooohhh! HAAAA,HAAAA! (gasp, gasp)…

BWWWAAAAAAHAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAHAAAAAAA!!!!…

Oh, my aching sides…

Wow, that’s just priceless…good thing we have Kos around to martyr himself and spend decades kickstarting this crucial project…

BWWWAAAAHAAAHAAAAAA!….

Sorry, it’s a great idea, really – it is…

I believe it was already started it is called the church of Satanism!!!!

    Comrade,

Now now, let’s not diss Satan so quickly…. at least Satan has principles. Besides, the progressives would have to believe in God to believe in Satan….

No, the Progressives have a mega-church already. It’s called secular humanism, and it’s acolytes are teaching our children their catachysim in public schools throught the nation.

The fact that he can’t discuss the Israel/Hezbollah/Lebanese conflict shows that he would believes he would split his cult members.

For someone who characterizes Bush’s policy as simple-minded, but now must remain silent, is simply absurd. I don’t think he will be able to keep it from bleeding into his discussion boards…and a great big schism will form.

He has just tried to preemptively to avoid taking a position. If I were supportive of Israel I would be mad becuase he can’t make a disticntion between defending a country and terrorism. If one is very sympathetic to the Lebanese, he makes their suffering look inconsequential, especially for someone who has been ‘championing’ suffering in Iraq.

No one is going to be happy at Kos, but he keeps pace with democrat contract with america, which fails to discuss Iraq or immigration.

The most pressing foreign policy issue at this time and we get-

“When two sides are this dead-set on killing each other, very little can get in the way.

And I, for one, sure as heck have no desire to get sucked into that no-win situation. I just hope that war-fatigue sets in at some point. “

  • Oh, it’s all over Kos, just not from the man himself. And the sentiment is overwhelmingly anti-Israel…

I would file Kos’ view under the category of:

Issues where you cannot oppose Bush

(to agree with W is viscerally impossible, at the cost of all crediblity on foreign policy…

good to see markos has his priorities straight.)

    Is the infighting at kos 20% pro-israeli 80% anti-israeli?

Does one supportive of Israel dare even post there?

    Paging David Duke….

mega church? the closest thing they can get to is a rally. and those things are so out of fashion.

Of course he could organize a civic-minded support program, but that might only divert his precious federal tax money that he believes can do an equivalent good in the hands of the government.

Simply stated, what a lame “idea”…

Besides, the left already has their own version of the “megachurch” called public universities.

  • Gwedd

    Comrades,

Not only does the left have it’s megachurch, like Evan says, but it has an evangelical outreach program called the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. What really frosts my ****’s is how they force us to tithe to them through our taxes…….

Don’t forget about the biggest megachurch of them all, the Lame Stream Media. LSM for short.

  • MEGA CHURCHES: Liberal Mega Blogger intends to …

combat influence of Republican owned churches.

Good friend Mark Coffey, at Decision ’08, pointed me to the following outrageous contemplation by mega blog Daily Kos.
