It’s Good News/Bad News/Good News

The good news, as we discussed earlier: two polls show Lieberman still leading Lamont.

The bad news: both show a statistically insignificant 2% lead.

The good news: Lamont has a terrible image problem with the undecideds, and most of them aren’t Democrats, anyway

  • Also, at least one of the polls has a reliability problem. Still checking on the data, so don’t take my word for it, but I heard on the radio that 50% more Democrats were included in the poll than Republicans. Now, I’m sure Connecticut is a blue state, so I don’t expect them to be represented equally, but that gap seems a stastical anomaly that any reliable pollster would’ve corrected for.
