Apologies For Light Posting The Last Couple Of Nights
I’ve been trying to make up for my ignorance in installing Windows Vista Beta 2 on my home computer by downloading and installing Windows Vista RC1. Shockingly, I’ve run into big problems and have already wasted 8-10 hours only to have to start from scratch.
Sigh…if you never listen to anything else I say, listen to this: NEVER, EVER, EVER install a beta operating system on your pc…
i’m thinking about going to mac myself. any thoughts?
I considered it, too, but the Macs are kind of pricey…
Pricey, but worth it, IMO. I went to an iMac a few months ago, and though I need to purchase and install an extra RAM chip, it’s worked splendidly for me thus far.
pc’s seem to work well for about a year…then they are junk. my current one (Compaq) crashed a month after purchase, and once again about two years later…think i’ll look into that mac before i graduate from college in may; mac gives a student discount.
Any comments from anybody who’s had a mac for, say, a couple of years? are they really any better or do they go to sh#t too?
