Lamont Is On The Ropes

Everyone’s favorite empty suit is running out of time in Connecticut:

Rasmussen Reports has a new poll in the Connecticut Senate race showing Joe Lieberman up 10 points on Ned Lamont, which is an eight point jump over Rasmussen’s last survey just two weeks ago. Republican Alan Schlesinger continues to get no traction whatsoever, and while Lieberman hit the 50 percent mark, Lamont’s support slipped to 40% in this poll. On the heels of the QPoll in mid-September also showing Lieberman up 10, the Rasmussen poll compounds the problems facing Lamont…

One thing about Joe Lieberman: there won’t be any late-breaking scandals…I’m calling this one early, knowing full well that subsequent polls may show it tightening…but Joe is going to take it home…

  • Could you imagine an IM scandal involving Joe Lieberman?

    Teh funnyest scandal EVAR.

  • Both Zogby and Rasmussen have given this one to Lieberman “unless something unexpected happens, of course”. Congratulations, Joe from one who didn’t think you’d pull it off.

Also, another indicator is that Dems are backing off on saying that he’d lose his seniority. That means they expect him to be re-elected.
