Another Big College Football Night…
…in the Big 12 as the #4 Longhorns try to improve their National Title prospects and clinch a spot in the Big 12 Championship Game with a win over Kansas State, and my Red Raiders face a nearly impossible task as they try to win against #17 Oklahoma on the road. #24 Texas A&M and Nebraska are going at it as I speak, with A&M up by six and about 3:30 left in the game…
UPDATE 6:02 p.m.: Ahh, another heartbreaker for A&M…what a season! Just a few plays different, and A&M would be undefeated!…Congrats to the Cornhuskers, who just sewed up the Big 12 North title…
UPDATE 6:37 p.m.: Tech grabs an early 7-3 lead in the first, but…and it’s a big but…they once again are struggling against the run…
UPDATE 6:56 p.m.: Tied up at 10-10 with 11:00 to go in the first half, and Tech just popped out the ball on the kickoff return for GREAT field position…and Tech scores quickly to go up 17-10…the pass protection has been stellar thus far…
UPDATE 7:22 p.m.: 55-yard interception return for a touchdown as Tech goes up 24-10 with 1:40 left in the half! Woo-hoo!…I hate to get my hopes up, but Tech has played a very solid game thus far…
UPDATE 7:31 p.m.: Well, damn…that was no good. Texas Tech let Oklahoma keep a late drive alive with some penalties, and now they’ll take a mere 7-point lead into the half, 24-17…
UPDATE 9:16 p.m.: Sigh…it’s been that kind of season. For whatever reason, Texas Tech just cannot play in the second half. That problem has dogged them all year. 2:30 minutes left, but down ten, this baby is over…we had our chances, but now, we drop to 6-5…it’s been a season of frustrations for Texas Tech fans…
UPDATE 9:35 p.m.: Oh, boy, what a terrible night for this college football fan…Texas is down 42-21 to Kansas State with a little time left in the third quarter…
UPDATE 10:53 p.m: Yeesh…what a downer. Tech loses, and now Texas, though they made it close. Still, the final was 45-42, and there goes Texas’s last hope of retaining their national title…

Well, in a few minutes I’ll be headed to over to Tempe to watch my Sundevils play. I bought the tickets when they were 3-0 and ranked 20th, they’re like 2-4 since then…anyone have a QB they can spare? We need one! Oh well, should still be fun.
Yeah, no matter the record, games are always pretty fun in person…
My Tigers (the Auburn variety) got knocked out today, too. By Georgia no less. UGA even lost to Vandy (my other team, regardless of how pitiful they are) this year.
