Alec Baldwin Holds The Key To The Universe
In a typically insipid rant about neocons and their lack of respect for the sacred Sixties, excellent actor and ideological jerk Alec Baldwin drops this nugget of wisdom:
There is a way to defeat terrorism while building new and better alliances in the Arab world. It will be an enormously complex and difficult diplomatic puzzle. But the first step might be oddly simple. Get rid of the CIA, which has outlived its usefulness and is an embarrassment to this great country, and rebuild and reform US intelligence capabilities to fight this new type of threat. I think our hopes must begin there.
Of course – it’s so damned bloody simple! Get rid of the CIA, and it will all fall into place…Palestinians will break bread with Israelis, Osama will surrender to Oprah, and Shi’a and Sunni will pitch in to buy that really cool beachfront property in Lebanon, newly freed from the tyrannical grip of Syria and Iran.

Unilateral disarmiment, the disolution of the US Army, Marines, Navy and Air Force, the ceding of all territories in the non-contiguous USA, giving up the US seat on the permanent Security Council of the UN, the break-up of NATO, ending the guarding of our borders in any way, desolving the Coast Guard and Customs Dept- all these things would help heal the terrible evil the US has perpetrated on the World and prevent us from doing it again.
Then we need to get down to redestributing all our wealth and dismantling our industrial capability that holds the rest of the world in poverty. As well as our entertainment industry which foists our culture on the world. Not to mention outlawing English and using only native dialects of minority ethnic groups to end our linguistic hegemony over the world as well.
You know, come to think of it, ritual hari-kari by every American citizen would probably be the fairest and best course of action, and then the Utopian Dream could come to pass at last.
Baldwin can go first.
Don’t you know Alec, as a CIA analyst, singlehandly captured a Russian nuke sub? That makes hime the expert on spy affairs.
Actually, I’ve always wondered why Alec didn’t continue the Jack Ryan franchise? My guess is that having had it made, he figured he didn’t want any role in a pro-defend USA story. After all, when was the last time anyone saw him in anything resembling pro-American?
