		<description>There is no mystery why &lt;i&gt;National Review&lt;/i&gt; let Coulter go.  She does nothing to convince moderates that conservatism is an intelligent political persuasion.  It is inescapable, I suppose, but nevertheless regrettable that so much of political discourse sounds like playground bickering.   Still, this is better than in some countries, where disputes are conveyed upon bullets.  Jefferson was quite astute when he observed that while democracy may not be the wisest form of government, it is the safest.</description>
