The Oddest BCS Matchup This Year…

…is on now, and Boise State can thank the addition of a fifth BCS game for opening up their chance on the big stage.  So far, Oklahoma and Boise State are knotted at zero, but the game is in the first quarter.  Oddly, with New Year’s Day just about over, we’ll still have three bowls to go, with the Sugar, Orange, and BCS title game still to come…

UPDATE 8:14 p.m.: Wow, that didn’t take long: Boise State up 14-0 in the first…

UPDATE 11:22 p.m.: Three hours later, and we’re still going.  It took Oklahoma three tries, but they got the 2-point conversion to tie Boise State 28-28 with 1:26 remaining in the fourth…

UPDATE 11:51 p.m.: Man, oh, man, that’s one of the greatest bowl games I’ve ever seen.  Boise State, improbably, decided they couldn’t continue to hold off Oklahoma, and went for two in overtime…and pulled the Statue of Liberty.  My goodness, what a win for Boise State, and what a heartbreaker for Oklahoma.  Wow!…
