Good News, Bad News
Well, I got hacked earlier, if you missed the excitement, and as you can see below, I lost about a day and a half’s worth of stuff.
That’s the bad news (and a note to the hacker – I’d be expecting a nasty letter from a law firm in your near future).
The good news far outweighs the bad, though…
(1) I printed out the old posts before I lost them, and I’ll be able to restore them with some tedious typing, if I choose…
(2) My categories and users have been restored. That means that your user info was not lost, and I’m opening comments back up for now.
(3) What the hacker didn’t count on is my excellent blog hosting company, Blogs About Hosting, with their professionalism, prompt response times, and frequent back-ups. Thanks so much to Blogs About for quickly restoring my blog back up to an almost-up-to-date status. You really can’t do better than these guys for pricing and customer service…
Thanks for your readership, and don’t worry, it’ll take more than one jerk to bring me down!…

You would think Bill Gates has better uses for his time.
Go a little easier on the criticism next time.
I’m sure it won’t be the first nasty letter he’s ever gotten.
This is a badge of honor. Someone doesn’t like you and your opinions. Too bad on them. Way to go.
Maybe it was your “Muffin Paw Print of Approval” that got them hacked off? You have one and they don’t. Muffin just doesn’t give out the esteemed paw print to just anyone.
Is this a “hate” crime?
It’s those damned longhorns Mark! They are gloating over their victory.
Can you name the hacker as Jackass of the WeeK?
I’d rather name him in a legal proceeding…
Go get him, Mark! If Shakespeare were alive today, he’d say, “The first thing we do is kill all the hackers.”
Glad you were able to save most of your blog.
