…because with twenty wins, Texas Tech is in the Big Dance. Three top-ten victories and a winning conference record have sealed the deal as March Madness moves into Championship Week. Most bracketologists, however, put Tech in at a 9 seed in the St. Louis or San Jose Regional, and a 9 seed is tough – first, you have to beat the 8 seed, and then, for your troubles, you get to play the 1 seed (in the two most frequent predictions, either UCLA or Ohio State) in the round of 32.
The upshot? Tech needs a strong Big 12 Tournament showing to survive into the Round of 16…
