Grading The Republicans Redux: The TIME Edition

TIME steals my completely original grading the candidates concept here, with the grading done by Mark Halperin.  He gives the debate to Romney with an A- (in retrospect, I was too rough on Romney’s performance, overly influenced by my largely negative opinions of him).  Here he is on Rudy, who gets a B:

Sold his New York City governing record (reducing crime and welfare rolls), and allowed his 9/11 heroics to take a backseat for a change. Survived repeated queries on his pro-choice record and personal stance on abortion, but seemed a little uncertain, at one moment too glib, and surprisingly unprepared to frame the issue on his terms. Also survived Sunni-Shia essay question, but in a halting, deer-in-the-headlights manner, revealing the dreary labor of his debate prep.

That’s about right…

I wouldn’t put to much stock into anything TIME says as they cannot even include the most powerful man in the world bar none in their 100 most influential people, however they found George Soros one of the 100, I think that is all I need to know about TIME and their opinions. I would say they are not very bright people.
