Signs Your Campaign Is Not Going Well…

#1. When all stories about you refer to your ‘former’ frontrunner status…

#2. When the legislation you are most identified with in recent memory coincides with the most hated legislation of your base…

#3. When Ron Paul (Ron Freakin’ Paul!) has more cash on hand than you do

…then it’s safe to say you’re in big trouble…

Well, if having more cash on hand than Ron Paul is such a low bar to meet, then how come only 2 of the other 9 declared Republicans have done it — and one of those two, just barely? Giuliani has $15 mil for the primary and Romney has $12 mil — but Romney loaned himself $9 mil, without which he’d only have had $3 mil on hand, or barely more than Paul. Everyone else is lower.

I guess that means Ron Freakin’ Paul is top-tier now, especially since he’s got tens of thousands of highly motivated supporters. How many millions are they worth? His meetup.com group has almost 19,000 members — more than all the other Republican candidates combined.

  • Yes, yes, the mighty Ron Paul juggernaut rolls on. Tell you what, talk to me when your boy registers 5% in any national poll…

Perhaps I misunderstood the article, but this is just a comparison of money currently in the respective campaigns’ accounts, right? As opposed to the total amount of money they have raised. I don’t know for certain, but I would assume that John McCain has spent much more money than Ron Paul (probably about as much as Giuliani and Romney).

I’m not saying this doesn’t mean McCain is in trouble — it just doesn’t mean Ron Paul is doing well.

As for Ron Pauls thousands of supporters, probably about half of them are troofers (the 9/11 variety), so those have a negative value. Even if they don’t believe in 9/11 conspiracies, they think that the Joooos are responsible for Ron Paul not registering more than [*] on most scientific polls. Lastly, his supporters are mostly new to politics and hence have little knowledge of how to effectively operate a campaign. In short, Ron Paul has reached his peak in terms of support.

  • An educated vote is a smart vote. Don’t just vote for a republican or democrat. Compare the 2008 Presidential Candidates

McCain made a career of sticking his finger in the eye of his Party. He mistook the notoriety and amusement of the Democtats and MSM headlines for support for that position.

Now he issurprised that the people that he stuck in the eye don’t like him? And to his horror the MSM and democrats are chuckling as he twists in the wind? What a stupid oaf. Payback is a pure Beach !!.
