It’s A Three-Man Race Again For The GOP…
…and it may finally be time for this blogger to take Mitt Romney seriously. I have openly scoffed at the notion of a supposed ‘front runner’ who can’t even break into double digits, but a glance at the Real Clear Politics poll page shows Romney is routinely hitting double digits now. It may be unfair to write McCain off, since he actually finishes third more often than Romney, but he’s clearly a long-shot now. The polls also indicate a Thompson campaign that may – may – have crested. That would leave the guy who’s led in the polls all along, Giuliani, and the guy with all the money who’s finally making a move – Romney.
Hmmm….maybe it’s a two-man race now…again. But Thompson’s still too hard to predict…for now, the kid stays in the picture…

The Thompson candidacy is maddening because it doesn’t, you know, exist. I would like very much for him to do something so we can get a feel for exactly what his chances are.
