I am sick to my stomach and feel completely disenfranchised. There is no
Conservative in the race now. I am either not going to vote for president at all
or I am writing Fred Thompson in. We can all come up with theories on why Fred
Thompson lost. This has entirely to do with media influence on the elections. We
have seen this in action. The candidate that the media focuses on the most is
more likely to get votes than obvioulsy the ones that they ignore. It is the
media game. The media is upset that Bugh got elected twice--so it is not going
to let it happen again. Fox News is such an example. I am pissed off at Fox News
for perpetuating an image of Fred Thompson as being "lazy" and "not really
interested in becoming President." The media has succeeded. I am also aware that
because I am so actively involved in politics and involved in making myself
educated on all of the issues that I have made the prudent decision to select
Fred Thompson for President. I am equally aware that the average citizen is not
like me (or us) and will not do the work to inform themselves. I do not believe
(as liberals believe) that the average citizen is STUPID and have to have things
done FOR them. I do believe the average citizen is NOT as informed as I am.
Therefore I completely blame the mainstream media for the demise of Fred
Thompson.

As far as supporting another candidate---I do not like the rest of the field. I
believe ideology is more important than party. I think Conservatism is more
important than the Republican party---because a party platform can change--but
an ideology is an ideology. I am fully aware that some one-issue rejects exist.
I am also fully aware that some people want everything to be so perfect that
they will risk electing a socialist Democrat because of perfection. Right now
the only person I could contemplate voting for is Rudy Giuliani--but it would be
the lesser of two evils. He is the only candidate left who has actually governed
as a Conservative. Yes, he did support a Democrat for Governor and yes he is
pro-life. But he has demonstrated that he can govern as a Conservative----and
that is what is important. He also said he would appoint strict Constructionist
judges. Why should I have a reason to doubt him? What do I know about Mitt
Romney? He is a political opportunist. He myteriously had a change of heart and
became pro-life. I do not believe it for a second. Even I was never
pro-choice...I was undecided on the issue for a long time before I became
pro-life. Mitt Romney is nothing more than a political machine--I just do not
believe the man.

I am very sad that Fred Thompson has left the race--and right now I am only
having fleeting thoughts about what I am going to do in November. I will NOT
support John McCain or Mike Huckabee. If Rudy became the nominee I could vote
for him. If it is Huckajunk or Insane McCain I will probably not vote at all for
President.

Why Fred Thompson lost and why Rudy Giuliani is going to lose Florida:

Instead of showing strength and certainty Fred Thompson said that South Carolina
is "do or die." Why would anyone want to vote for someone who is even displaying
weakness? He should have said "Now we are getting into states that really
matter. I am confident that I will be the winner." Fred Thompson projected the
possibility of failure. Rudy Giuliani is doing the very same thing in Florida. I
predict Giuliani will lose Florida and that John McCain will win. I reiterate my
stance: I will NOT vote for President if John McLame becomes our party's
nominee. Our party is not pro-amnesty. Our party is not about limiting free
speech. I feel like the Republican party is turning into a third party. In third
parties it is all about the candidate running and not about the platform. So
WHAT the John McLame was a POW in Vietnam!!! So what that John McLame was right
about the surge. It's about our principles damn it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too soon to tell?

Even down South, it's so scary for a FredHead. We'll love him till Tuesday, well, I might stretch it till Wednesday, to see how far our voices carry. You know the rest... ;)
