After two disappointingly one-sided National Semifinals, I’m pleased to see we’ve got a real game on in the National Championship. I must say Kansas is a far better team than I reckoned them to be. Memphis has got to get Rose involved offensively, or they’re going down…
UPDATE 10:33 p.m.: Holy guacamole, what a finish to regulation! I thought Kansas had blown it, after playing nearly perfect the first 30 minutes, but then Memphis’s free throw woes returned at a most inopportune time. Then the clutch 3 with 2.3 seconds remaining…amazing!…
UPDATE 10:48 p.m: Well, that’ll do it…tough, tough loss for Memphis, to live with the thought that even hitting 2 of 5 from the line down the stretch would have won the championship. Congrats to the Jayhawks on their third national title and first for coach Bill Self…and congrats to Memphis on a great, great season…
