A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Changing This Site…
…that is to say, things didn’t work out quite as planned. So I’m trashing my plan and I’m going to do it on the fly.
First things first: this site is no longer Decision ’08 (surprise!). It’s now Informed Speculation (maybe you like the name, maybe you don’t – but let me tell you this – it was a real bi…er, bear, finding a decent unused .com address!).
You can reach the site at Decision08.net, same as always, but you can also reach it at InformedSpeculation.com. For now, it’s just a parked domain at Decision ’08…that will hopefully change at some point in the future.
I’m going to be fiddling with a new theme in a bit, so you may see some really crazy stuff around here later. Don’t fret if things are just terrible…right now I’m experimenting.
Hang tight – I’ll settle on something I like…I’d hoped to do this ‘off-line’, but such is life…
UPDATE 4:04 p.m: Okay, my first attempt at changing themes resulted in a fatal error, as some of you may have noticed. On the chance that the fatal error was a result of an old WordPress installation, I upgraded to the latest WordPress. That went smooth, except for one thing – favicons in the comments will not work under this new installation. I think Jacques was the only frequent commenter who made use of this feature anyway (sorry, Jacques!)…
The funny thing is I was about to click over and it occurred to me that you hadn’t yet made the change you had been teasing and BINGO here you are with this post.
I like the name, especially compared to your old name (which is SO last year!). I hope you’re having fun figuring this stuff out. I’m glad to see all my favorite cranks from the left and right will be able to continue navigating here to read and post.

Oh, they were the default with this new theme (Atahaulpa, if anyone is interested, by BytesForAll)…I may update that icon with one of my own choosing later…

For some reason Informed Speculation makes me think of Skeptical Inquirer. (Maybe it’s the initials S.I. -> I.S.?)
